RUN-TIME: 90 MINUTES WITH INTERMISSION

This exciting program reimagines Stravinsky’s famous post-WWI score, The Soldier’s Tale (L’Histoire du Soldat), with a contemporary take on the classic story of greed, passion, and death. Amplified by the power of collaboration, this program gives your local chamber orchestra the opportunity to partner with Eisenhower Dance Detroit in an elegant evening of live music and dance. If live music is unable to be booked for accompaniment, this program can also be performed with recorded music and narration. Set to Bach’s “Partita for Violin Solo No. 1 in B Minor,” The Lovely Exchange rounds out this virtuosic program and investigates the journey of finding the beauty in the ugliness of our surroundings.
