began her training in both gymnastics and dance at a young age. Before graduating from Oakland University in 2013, with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance, Lindsay accepted an apprenticeship with Eisenhower Dance Detroit. In 2014, Lindsay was promoted to full company member. Early in her career, she trained extensively with companies such as, Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, Complexions Contemporary Ballet and also participated in a ballroom dance apprenticeship. She has performed works by Darrell Grand Moultrie, Ron De Jesus, Gina Patterson, Paul Christiano, Joshua Manculich, among several others. She teaches for The School of EDD and at intensives and workshops throughout the country. Lindsay has served as the director of NewDANCEfest for past two years and through EDD's Beyond the Stage initiative, in 2018, she was promoted to Company Manager where she strives to continually develop, enrich, and elevate EDD.
originally from Thomasboro, Illinois, began his dance training at the age of six. He trained with Christine Rich and Luciana Rezende at the Christine Rich Studio Dance Academy and Performing Arts Center in Savoy, IL. At the age of 16, he received a full scholarship to The Washington School of Ballet in Washington D. C. He attended Duke Ellington School of the Arts to finish his senior year of High School. Andrew has received scholarships to attend summer intensives at Washington School of Ballet, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, The Rock School of Ballet in Philadelphia, and Faubourg Ballet Chicago.
grew up in southeastern Michigan, beginning his formal dance training at age six. Alex graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a minor in Creative Writing from Western Michigan University in May 2015. While at WMU, he performed choreography by Lauren Edson, Gerald Arpino, KT Nelson, Peter Chu, Gabrielle Lamb, Antony Tudor and Ohad Naharin. Alex performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. during the American College Dance Festival Association in 2012 and was fortunate to be able to study dance in New York City with Gibney Dance and in Montréal with O Vertigo and Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal. Alex was selected to dance for musical legend Bobby McFerrin in the 2016 improvisational concert “Bobby Meets Michigan” at the Wharton Center for Performing Arts in East Lansing, MI. Alex was excited to perform and teach on tour with Eisenhower Dance Detroit in Tel Aviv, Israel and Lądek Zdrój, Poland in 2017. Alex has choreographed for several artistic platforms from formal dance concerts to Ballets to Musical productions. He choreographed for Youth American Grand Prix 2018 in Pittsburgh, and his choreography received a top twelve placement..
is originally from Wisconsin where she began her formal dance training. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, with a Business minor, from The University of Arizona. Upon graduating, she apprenticed with Thodos Dance Chicago, where she trained with many artists in the area including Hubbard Street, Visceral, and River North dance companies. Since Fall of 2016, Brooke has been a professional dancer with Eisenhower Dance Detroit, where she has performed at the NYC Lincoln Center, Tel Aviv Opera House in Israel, as well as the Detroit Opera House and various theaters around Michigan and the U.S. with the company.
a St. Louis native, graduated with a BFA in Dance from Webster University. He also studied with Boston Ballet, Joffrey Ballet Chicago, Kansas City Ballet and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago at their summer intensives. He joined EDD in August 2012 and has toured internationally to Israel and Poland. He has been very fortunate to work with Christian Denice, Edgar Zendejas, Lauren Edson, Eddy Ocampo, Joshua Manculich, Iyun Harrison, Joshua L. Peugh, Jamey Hampton, Gina Patterson, Michael Uthoff and Alicia Graf Mack, among many others. Matthew has set multiple works of choreography at Oakland University and has showcased his work at the New Dance Festival in 2018.
MICHAEL TEASLEY III
was born and raised in Detroit, MI. He began his dance training under the Direction of Jeri Sterrett at Jazz and Spirit Dance Theater of Detroit. In 2009, he enrolled in the Dance Program at Oakland University where he performed with Oakland Dance Theatre and OU Repertory Dance Company. Since then he has appeared as an apprentice and guest dancer with Eisenhower Dance, toured to Poland with the Company in July 2014 and was promoted to company member in 2015.
originally from Buffalo NY, began training at age three. Emily graduated from Point Park University in Spring of 2018, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. During her years at the University, she had the honor of performing works by Larry Keigwin, Matthew Powell, Helen Simoneau, David Morse, and Garfield Lemonius. Emily has attended various intensives such as AXIS Connect, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Movement Invention Project, the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Miami City Ballet, and Chautauqua Ballet. Emily has studied works of Crystal Pite, Alejandro Cerrudo, William Forsythe, Kyle Abraham, and Alex Ketley. Emily joined Eisenhower Dance Detroit as an apprentice in 2018, since performing works by founder Laurie Eisenhower, Artistic Director Stephanie Pizzo, Christian Denice, and Darrell Moultrie. Emily was promoted to full company member is 2019.
was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan where her dance career began at the age of three at Center Stage Dance Studio. Lillie recently graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance where she was a two-year member of OU’s Repertory Dance Company. Lillie has had the opportunity to train with many professional companies such as Thodos Dance Chicago and Diavolo LA at their summer intensives. Lillie joined EDD in 2017 as an apprentice.
originally from California, began her dance training at Big City Dance Center in Michigan. She graduated with her BFA in Dance Honors from Wayne State University in May of 2018 where she received the Copperfoot Award for choreography. Her work was performed at the American College Dance Association festival that spring. Kelsey performed in the Judson Memorial Church's 'Movement Research' in New York City as well as at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. During her time at university, she performed in works of those such as Meg Paul, Trey McIntyre, Stefanie Batten Bland and Faye Driscoll, and performed with Eisenhower Dance in their Silver Anniversary Gala. She has worked with additional artists such as Dwight Rhoden, Sidra Bell, Shannon Gillen, Alexandra Wells, Shamel Pitts and more. She received additional training at Gallim Dance, Dance Italia, and Movement Invention Project. Kelsey is also fully trained in both Stott Pilates Matwork and Reformer and teaches both privates and group classes.

She recently attended summer programs with New Dialect, chuthis., BODYTRAFFIC LA, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, The Big Muddy Dance Company, and DanceWorks Chicago. Charvat trained on scholarship at Lou Conte Dance Studio (2018-19), taking weekly class with HSDC artists, presenting her own choreography, and performing a work by Alice Klock. She was also a member of the NewDances 2019 company, a collaboration between Thodos Dance Chicago and DanceWorks Chicago. This is Tara’s first season with Eisenhower Dance Detroit.

She later began training at the Academy of Russian Classical Ballet under the direction of Jessica and Nikolai Morschakov where she performed in various full length ballets. Most recently, she was a member of Oakland University’s Repertory Dance Company where she had the opportunity to work with Millicent Hodson and Kenneth Archer, AJ Sharp, and Thayer Jonutz. Currently, Isabella is entering her senior year at Oakland University and will graduate with a BFA in dance and a BA in communication in spring of 2020.

Brian was a member of Macomb Ballet Company; a preprofessional ballet company, performing lead roles in ballets such as The Nutcracker, among others. He was a member of Oakland University’s Repertory Dance Company and has worked with Millicent Hodson and Kenneth Archer, Shaun Boyle-D’arcy, Lauren Edson, Thayer Jonutz and Stephanie Pizzo. Currently entering his senior year at Oakland University, Brian will graduate with a BFA in dance in spring of 2019.
