THE SCHOOL OF EDD
As a non-profit arts organization with a mission that also focuses on community outreach and education programs, EDD opened the doors to the Eisenhower Dance Center in September of 1995 to serve as a base for those operations. The School of Eisenhower Dance Detroit now includes facilities in Rochester and Birmingham, Michigan, that offer classes for both the pre-professional and recreational dancer. A satellite program is also offered at the Detroit Country Day School.
EDD sets itself apart from other dance schools by offering classes taught by former and current professional dancers along with a staff of highly skilled instructors with degrees in dance or equivalent professional experience. The School of EDD aims to foster the appreciation of dance as an art form by providing the highest quality instruction to students of any age. With anatomically sound training and a focus on artistry rather than competition, EDD stands out as the premier dance training facility in the Detroit Metro area. Classes emphasize the student’s creative, artistic, and technical development taught in a positive and nurturing atmosphere. The School offers classes in a variety of dance styles appropriate for all levels and ages from preschool to adults.
