Eisenhower Dance Detroit invites you on a captivating journey through the complexities of human experience with Depth Within. This evening of dance promises to be both introspective and exhilarating, leaving audiences with a profound sense of connection and discovery. The program features works by renowned choreographers as well as emerging voices, each offering a unique perspective. Pink, choreographed by Joshua Peugh, is a vibrant and playful exploration of nostalgia and identity. Two Forward, One Back, choreographed by Laurie Eisenhower, is a striking examination of perseverance and progress, blending rhythmic intricacy with fluid athleticism. Paradigm, choreographed by Baira, is an immersive, visceral piece that challenges perceptions of space and time. Artistic Director Stephanie Pizzo unveils a bold new premiere inviting the audience to reflect on the unseen forces that shape our inner landscapes. Through intricate partnering and dynamic physicality, this work embodies the tension between vulnerability and strength.

Dancers ages 13+ are invited to participate in a pre-performance master class with Eisenhower Dance Detroit!
Take a contemporary class following the EDD aesthetic and techniques and learn a short excerpt of repertory. Finish out the evening seeing the repertory performed live by the professional company members of Eisenhower Dance Detroit!

Join us for a dynamic pay-what-you-can contemporary dance master class before Depth Within. This intermediate/advanced-level class is open to dancers ages 13+, and will explore the themes of the evening's performance through movement, technique, and creative expression. This class offers a unique opportunity to connect with Eisenhower Dance Detroit before the show begins.
