UPCOMING EVENTS

This year, we are celebrating 35 years of EDD’s professional company, and 30 years of the School of Eisenhower Dance Detroit! We’d love to see you at our upcoming performances. Tap on each accordion item below for more details.

  • EDD as it stands today is bold, immediate, and deeply resonant. HERE features world premieres by Artistic Director, Stephanie Pizzo, and Guest Artist, Yoshito Sakuraba, that reflect the complexity, urgency, and pulse of the present.

Sakuraba’s work, inspired by the Japanese folktale, Tsuru no Ongaeshi (“The Crane Wife”), incorporates an original animated film created by students from the College for Creative Studies using paper cutouts.

Pizzo’s new work, set to an original composition by Madeline Merwin, will be performed with a live orchestra, led by Conductor, Luca Antonucci.

This is EDD in 2026 — fearless, dynamic, and unapologetically of the now.

  • Join EDD Youth Ensemble for their annual production of Dance Mosaics.

  • BEYOND dares to imagine what lies ahead. Showcasing bold new commissions from emerging and boundary-defying choreographers, this forward-looking performance charts a path toward the future of dance — untethered, expansive, and rich with possibility.
