EDD as it stands today is bold, immediate, and deeply resonant. HERE features world premieres by Artistic Director, Stephanie Pizzo, and Guest Artist, Yoshito Sakuraba, that reflect the complexity, urgency, and pulse of the present.

Sakuraba’s work, inspired by the Japanese folktale, Tsuru no Ongaeshi (“The Crane Wife”), incorporates an original animated film created by students from the College for Creative Studies using paper cutouts.

Pizzo’s new work, set to an original composition by Madeline Merwin, will be performed with a live orchestra, led by Conductor, Luca Antonucci.

This is EDD in 2026 — fearless, dynamic, and unapologetically of the now.
