Help Eisenhower Dance celebrate
a national day of giving on November 28, 2017
Eisenhower Dance Detroit has spent the past 26 years giving life to the repertoire of internationally known choreographers, as well as the highly acclaimed work of Founding Artistic Director Laurie Eisenhower. This year, Eisenhower Dance begins a new chapter as Stephanie Pizzo assumes the role of Artistic Director of Eisenhower Dance. On April 14, 2018, Eisenhower Dance will be performing at the Detroit Music Hall in a concert titled ARC. ARC is comprised of two long-form collaborations led by Artistic Director Stephanie Pizzo: Surge, with original composition by the internationally known techno artist, Aaron Siegel, and an exciting new collaboration with composer Omar Jon Ajluni and New D Media, blending evocative visual imagery and cutting-edge projection with vivid choreography and set to a riveting original soundtrack. Through the synergy of light, sound, and movement, the evening will delve into the repressive nature of labels within our society, how they affect our sense of identity, and what it means to overcome the judgments that challenge us from revealing who we really are.
This year, we’re thrilled to partner and donate 15% of our proceeds from #GivingTuesday to the Coalition on Temporary Shelter (COTS), a provider of housing to homeless individuals and families in Detroit. We are honored to spread joy this holiday season with such a wonderful non-profit organization in our Detroit community.
With your contribution this #GivingTuesday, Eisenhower Dance can continue to provide innovative art to our community and help extend support to the homeless population in Detroit. Please consider giving on November 28th! Thank you in advance for your involvement in this global movement.
